On Call ECE Substitute
The Vancouver Westside ECD Hub is looking for on-call ECE substitute teachers for multi-non profit organizations serving the Westside of Vancouver. This is a great opportunity to gain childcare experience and to get possible future employment.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure that programming is child centered, play-focused and meeting the educational and multicultural needs of the children and families.
- To ensuring the safety and well being of children in the program.
- To set up and clean up the facility after each session.
- To ensure the program follows licensing regulations that are outlined by the Community Care Facilities Licensing Branch
Qualifications:
- BC ECE Certification
- Strong planning, organizational, leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively in a non-profit and volunteer-based organization
- Valid first aid certificate
- Successful completion of criminal record check

Playroom Volunteer
Individual centres may be seeking friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to assist with staff with program delivery. Applicants should have good interpersonal and oral communication skills and enjoy working with young children. Experience working with young children is preferred, but is not not always essential. A second language is definitely an asset.
